It’s the one year anniversary of Beyoncé‘s LEMONADE and she’s chosen to celebrate by dropping a “scholarship scheme” that supports young women that are “unafraid to think outside the box, bold, creative, conscious and confident.” It’s called Formation Scholars.
Bey and Parkwood, her management company, teamed up on this venture. Essentially this is how the program will work. Four women will be chosen for the 2017-2018 academic year. You can pick up your application now, if you are enrolled in Howard University, Spelman, Berklee College of Music and/or Parsons School of Design. You can be current, incoming or a grad student but you must be studying creative arts, music, literature or African-American studies.
Each school will be able to award one young woman the scholarship opportunity, you must inquire at the school for more information.
