Performing professionally as Flex, this dual threat Hip Hop artist and engineer hailing from Long Island, is on course as he fights to become a household name in an oversaturated market. Distinguishing himself via his uncanny ability to make quality music, sans the trends Flex is currently in the thick of promoting his recently released A Ride With Flex project which has garnered support from well known entities such as Hip Hop Since 1987, What’s Hot in Hip Hop, Street Khemistry and more.
Recording seriously since the age of 18, Flex has taken his time studying not only the craft of being a Hip Hop MC but the culture as a whole, and its most successful contributors.
“I embody what it means to be from New York” (Flex)
And with that he carries the torch of an up and coming MC who has not wavered from the key element: lyricism. However diverse in sound he delivers, the content remains premium and with it supporters are taken on a walk through perspective, Flex’s that is; Recording himself, Flex exudes the hands on approach that has helped legends be born.
“I used to record on apple headphones using garageband. I pretty much had no clue what I was doing. My brother took notice and got me my first microphone. I got a cracked version of logic pro 9 and I learned through youtube. Till this day I still record my own music; It’s part of my whole creative process.” (Flex)
Running with his blessings ever since, Flex has developed a nice network of like minded individuals and looks to make 2016 a major year for his brand, starting with A Ride With Flex
