Lana is back guys! After an interesting interview with non other than Courtney Love, the “Blue Jeans” songstress premiered her title track “Lust for Life” featuring The Weeknd, from her upcoming album.
This is the second single to drop from the project since February’s “Love.” It was first heard on Mistajam’s BBC Radio I, yesterday.
However, we are still waiting on the release date of the Lust for Life album.
“I really felt like [The Weeknd] just added so much to it — it was the perfect track for him to join me on…I think the first few things I’m going to put out are gonna have that bigger, richer sound, and then I’m going to dig into the more acoustic part of the record,”
But lets’ get to the details. Before this, Lana did have an over the phone chat with Courtney Love, for the latest issue of Daze.
The two discussed their admiration for each other’s work, a possible collaboration and of course Lana’s upcoming album.
She explained her recording process, and even how she hesitated asking The Weeknd to join her on the title track.
“I didn’t know if I should ask him because I actually have a line in it where I say, ‘I wish we could go back to your country house and put on the radio and listen to our favourite song by Lennon and Yoko…I didn’t want him to think I was asking him because I was namechecking them. Actually, I had listened to his records over the years and I did think it was his vibe, so I played it for him and he liked it.”
