A Nike spokesperson confirmed the end of the relationship after controversial video of Bari was released.
As first reported by The Fader, Nike has called it quits on their relationship VLONE and it’s creator, A$AP Bari. This comes after allegations of sexual assault surfaced.
The two companies collaborated on a pair of Air Force 1‘s last year and also premiered an unreleased collection this past January at Paris Fashion Week.
If you need a refresher, this all began after a video went viral of the A$AP Mob co-founder sexually assaulting a woman. Soon after, Bari issued a statement addressing it:
“A misleading video clip featuring adult content and activity has been released to the public without my knowledge or consent.Comments about myself or anyone being detained or arrested are false. We have resolved this issue amicably among all parties as adults. We were friends before this and will remain friends afterwards.Being raised by strong women who taught me to respect everyone, I’m disappointed in the situation as well as myself and will reflect on the situation appropriately.”A$AP Bari
