The actor spills his truth in his Esquire Interview
Shia Labeouf really opened up in his recent interview with Esquire. In it, he highlights his relationship with rapper and father Kanye West, who gave him a shout out at his 2016 Sacramento show. “Shia LaBeouf, Kid Cudi feels a way. Give him a call.”
“I f***ing love Kanye West. He’s going through a lot. And I don’t know where he’s at or what he’s doing.”
Some how they end up connecting and long story short, West obtained all of LaBeouf’s cloths, including his Indiana Jones hat. Apparently, it was for some art project/pop up shop that never happened.
“Around the same time, I took my mother to his concert. She is, of course, obsessed with Kanye West. When I brought her backstage, he was a f***ing sweetheart to her. And it just felt fair. So I’m like, ‘Go for it, my guy. Take everything you want.’ And he did. He took all my fucking clothes.”
The now thirty one year old also shares how he first got into acting; “I was a weird- looking f***er,”how he landed his break on Even Stevens, how witnessing his own mother’s rape has effected him, and how he’s dealt with his very public outbursts. LaBeouf doesn’t hold back in this piece, despite his obvious nerves (he went extensive preparation for this moment).
